Liverpool Striker Luis Suarez will not face any punishment from UEFA over an incident during the UEFA Europa League Match against Zenit St Petersburg last week.

Zenit Felt Suarez, 26, deliberately stepped on defender Thomus Hubocan in the closing stages of  Thursday's Second Leg. Hubocan fell to the ground under pressure while trying to shephered the ball out for a Goal Kick. , and Television camera's showed Suarez's foot in the small of the defender's back. (See above pic)

Dutch refree Bjorn Kuipers took no action at the time but had the option of asking UEFA to review the incident in his match report.

It would appear Kuipers did not highlight the incident as a UEFA spokesmen told the Associated press,                    "disciplinary unit has decided not to open a case."

Suarez scored twice as Liverpool won 3-1 on the night but went out on the away goals rule.
